-In the streets of Soho, NYC I came a cross this tagged poster of favorite KATE MOSS. Like the colours, even though the green on green, could be to much at most times. Whats this ad for?-

“S: FASHION IS ART
M: FASHION CAN NEVER BE ART”
And so it begins.
We are taken through the archives of Schiaparelli and Prada, where we look at their different approaches to their designs, where they both want to dress the women of their time, in their own way-and how they agree on astetics, but may differ on the reason behind. Schiap was inspired by the likes of Salvador Dali, though Miuccia never will look to an artist for inspiration.

It was an interesting approach, where we looked at the similarities and differences of these two Italian designers, and how Miuccia Prada both have been inspired by Schiaparelli throughout her carrer- or you can see it in a way that “great minds think alike”‘. It is also important to be reminded of the genious and creative talent Elsa Shiaparelli was, and how ahead of her time she was, creating timeless and innovating looks, that still feels modern and never dated, even If they were created in the 1930s.

AROUND AND AROUND
Today we went to a few shops down in Soho, tried on a sweater at A Wang, stripy and cute, but it was not right. I think it was one of those days…where nothing fits. And Topshop is for kids.

-I love KC’s cute loafers, I would love a pair in black, here she is trying on some Acne shoes-

-My rack in the fitting room, beautiful silk layred blouses, tops and cool shirts and dresses, in colours that are so easy to mix with what I already have. Basic colours is a safe bet!-

Ended up with a pair of skinny capri jeans from Rag & Bone-everybody need a perfect pair of really fitted STRETHY jeans, and I finally found mine.

HBO´s new comedy GIRLS is premiering in the US this evening. It´s been the most talked about TV show “over there” lately, and it has already raised a lot of praise and great reviews to the 26 year old Lena Dunham, who is writing, directing and starring in the show.

PLOT: It´s about a group of 20s something girls trying to make it i NY.

Don`t miss it!

Favorite looks from NY. It was all about COLOUR and PRINTS, as well as sport references and sophisticated minimalism, but there were also more subtle colours with a light touch of softnes and femininity. And sculptured BLACK.

Today we did a shoot on a roof terrace in Lower Eastside. It was boiling, and the pre-spring outfits was right on spot. Our model for the day was beautiful Deanne. Shirt and trousers by ACNE.

At the pier, we just about made it. Diesel Black Gold was showing al ot of brights and metallic fabrics for summer.

I tagged along with my friend who was working for Siki Im to take the runway/lookbook images. I loved the collection, cool intellectual menswear by German born, UK educated architecture gone designer-who has worked for Helmut Lang and Karl Lagerfeld. Only in NY you have old empty warehouse/office locations like this.

“It’s very sociocritical, which I always like to touch on,” the designer added. “It will be capturing the revolt/revolution with the challenges and changes.”

On shoot, too hot for the model to wear the fab faux fur coat by Selected Femme. Hat and scarf is also a part of the styling. Im wearing my Acne (seethrough) shorts, Pinko top and my beloved best shoe buy ever from LD Tuttle…so in love…

I usually find nothing on sale, and It is always wise not to jump on anything  just because its cheap, but then again most shops are hitting end of season sales, and now you can really do the big scoops if you know what to look for. COAT//DEAR RIVINGTON from NYC – bought at this amazing shop in the east village, I LOVE IT!  SWEATER//H&M  is out in week 42, and is knitted and utterly fab, you can so easily wear it over a dress, with a fitted skirt or just layer it over a cardigan or a longer sweater.  SKIRT//MONKI it’s a must have and so easy to wear item-  in stores now.  BOOTS//RAG&BONE  are the perfect lace up boots I always dreamt of. I got them in NY and wearing them is like having no shoes on and they are light as a feather and oh-so-comfortable. BAG//MULBERRY SS2011 is the goodiebag from their show in NY @SohoHouse that we went to a few weeks ago.

MEE is wearing her new leash, from HUNDEHUSET (one of the best pet shops in Oslo)  & MIN BESTE VENN: dark brown leather with a mix of beige rope- which is so right for Autumn.
