And oh how we love the I’m-not-trying simplicity of her barely-there makeup and wet hair crisscrossed in shaggy, face-framing layers. Plus, Wang’s highly- structured pieces hit the mark, including ruched bodycon dresses with matching elbow length gloves, high-collared outerwear in glossy leathers, and lacquered tweeds and turtlenecks that look like they hit the hole-puncher.

To top it off, the video’s high contrast black-and-white palette perfectly suits the range’s chief hues and channels the designer’s downtown cool aesthetic to a (no pun intended) T.

Went to Tjøme in Vestfold/Norway today, and had a look at the exhibition “Northern Women in CHANEL”, from collaboration between CHANEL and the photographer Peter Farago & stylist Ingela Klemetz Farago in 2010 and 2011 -also made in to a coffetable book with the same title.

Cool venue, outside on the rocks at Worlds End. Some extraordinary gorgeous images, the black and white ones were my favorites. The rest was more dissapointing considering the whole CHANEL setup, with all the beautiful clothes and supermodels.

_I was lucky to get one of the latest addition to Maison Martin Margiela´s new trio of fragrances, Replica/Beach Walk (Featuring bergamot, lemon, pink pepper, ylang-ylang, coconut milk, musk and heliotrope) and as it says:
Reproduction of familiar scents and moments of varying locations and periods.
Beach Walk, Calvi 1972, sunkissed salty skin.

I love it already and will wear it all summer.

The other scents are: Replica Funfair Evening ~ With apple, star anise and marshmallow accord (caramel and orange blossom)
Replica Flower Market ~ With notes of freesia, rose, jasmine and tuberose.

From Margiela`s blog: The first is inspired by a walk in the fresh ocean air of the Corsican beach of Calvi in 1972, while Funfair evokes the sugary lightness of a Santa Monica carnival in 1994. Flower Market carries the scent of fresh cut flowers in the buckets and vases of a Parisian flower market in 2011.

The REPLICA trio will be available this fall.
