Elegantly Waisted

Today we went to Stockholm with Presskontakterna, to view La Redoutes new AW collection, as well as their designer collaboration this fall with Paris based designer Vanessa Bruno. The  Vanessa Bruno + La Redoute collection was inspired by wardrobe classic with a twist, and it was silk dresses in bright colours, basic black trousers and coats, as well as silky soft wool sweaters and cardigans. There were also a selection of boots and bags, and some cute basics for the little ones. We had lunch @Pont Noveau, where we were served three different deserts-inspired by the three major trends for fall: New Classics, Baroque and something with the 70s.

You can never go wring with a black bikini and spice it up with som sparkling studs like this triangle bikini by MELISSA ODABASH. Another summer favorite is a silk shirt, this one in peach by EQUIPMENT is perfect if it gets windy or can be dressed up with a slim belt for night. Hats are not really my thing, but if it gets too hot-what better to wear than this chic safari suede hat by ETRO. Another must have for summer is cool sandals, these flats by LD TUTTLE are amazing and goes so well with anything, be it a short or maxi dress, denim shorts or just a black bikini. “Let it be gold” – like these delicate bracelets by ISHARYA and this chic numbered bronze pendant by LULU FROST from New York`s Plaza hotel.

COS just opened in Stockholm. Finally. Already been in Copenhagen, Paris & London for a while. (and the cool “higher fashion” brand out of H&M) Gotta love their chic, basic minimalistic approach to fashion. Last time I was in London I bought a neon orange slim belt-that looks perfect over something beige or nude. Going to Stockholm tomorrow, so then I will hopefully find a skirt or some trousers. I have so many tops, but only a few bottoms….and for some reason I keep forgetting when out shopping. Why?

I found this soft and relaxed jersey top from Brandy/Melville@Wasteland in LA, and its the perfect summer tee. Wear it over some high waisted denim shorts or long maxi dress, I know I will.

My new favorite leggings from American Apparel, comfy-cool-and perfect for both night and day (our theme for our beach story 2day). Leather jacket from Nina Jarebrink came in handy because of crazy wind, and the white oversized t-shirt is from Day and will be available this FALL.

Today we did your first shoot in LA, and we went on a roadtrip, stopped by this really cool bar at the side of the road, with the weirdest people, who had been “rockclimbing all morning”…(more hanging in their trailers). The sun was burning and the location was amazing, run down, chilled, and so in the middle of now where.

The Palms is the place to be.

Martine did the makup on this shoot, and because of her pale complexion, she had to stay out of the sun. Wearing all black was not so very desert friendly either.

A selection of the model cards from our casting today. So many beautiful girls, with so many different stories to tell. A single mum from a rough hood, the one who put on some xtra weight, the one who lies on her age, the local born and bred, the aussie, the sexy italian, the eastern european, the chatty, witty and charming. The quiet, shy and awkward. The young one-who still doesnt know how beautiful she is. The surfer girl, the fun one, the too dressed up one, the crazy one and the lonely one, who just arrived in town and has no friends. And they all left their books in the car in the LA heat, so it got all sticky when you looked through them, which was quite funny.

A cool vintage interior shop, with the most amazing stuff. I love all these different sized letters.
