Rosa bluse/Marc by Marc Jacobs
Prikkete cardigan/H&M Commes des Garcons
Grå ullkjole/Acne
Sort bukse/Zara
Jeans/Cheap Monday
Stripete genser/Tshirt
Gråmønstret bluse/Vero Moda
Sort silkekjole/Nina Jarebrink
Mønstrete vintage kjole/Tonica
Liten clutch-veske/Miu Miu

Sort skinnjakke/Zara
Sort lang ullkåpe/Zara
Flate sorte boots/Din Sko
Høye ankelstøvletter/Christian Weber
Sorte stovletter/Le Prairie des Paris
Grått ullsjal/Baum und Pferdgarten
Sort hals/Zara
Brun ulllue/Alpaca Society

Madame Zingara-at the new Mojolenas

Madame Zingara, was a resturant that burned down a few years ago, an recently Mojolenas opned with a unique fusion of the innovative a la carte menu and the enchanting bohemian delight of the original Madame Zingara, combined with a dash of the glitter & stardust of the Theatre of Dreams.

We happened to be there on the launch party in Cape Town-in the Founders Garden in an antique mirror tent and really got our feet on the dance floor when the amazing Step Sisters had their show with old Motown and disco glam, fabulous costumes, snappy synchronised choreography and extensive repertoire of legendary songs.

-Mojolenas is a venue for all occasions and a nightly celebration of decadent dining and breath-taking entertainment in true Zingara style. A unique supper club and your home from home.

Behind the Scenes in Cape Town

Day one: This was were we did hair and makeup before we went on the locations to shoot.

Hair stylist Richard and production girl Emma and with her sweet assistant .

Shooting at Loogiesbay, here the model Marzaan is wearing a silk dress from What goes around comes around.

Prepping hair and relaxing still on the beach-where I actually ended up getting sunburned…

Day 2, shooting at Taal Monument, at Paarl. Here inside, from wind and hot hot sunshine!

Day 3, here we are with all our stuff on the hillside of Camps Bay, its very hot under the African sun.

This is on the promenade of Camps Bay, the wind was mad, and the hair was everywhere.

Last day, at the Part two of the Streetlife shoot, the amazing flat with the roof terrace and tempting pool.

SAFARI

This story was a must have one-when going to Africa, you can not go there for the first time and not do a Safari shoot. The Aguilla-farm was unfortunately flooded because of the bad weather just before we came, so no cheetahs, elephant babies or lions for us. Instead we went to the Animal Park, near the hospital in Cape Town, where there are a selection of zebras and springboks and such running “wild” in this big park on the hillside.

I did not want a typical safari shoot, hands on with hats, shorts and guns-instead I wanted to have animal prints in all the frames, and mix this with some more preppy items, and keep it feminine and sophisticated.

With natural makeupm with hints of shimmer, and long wavy hair-she looked very strong and beautiful, this coming ss 2009 Ralph Lauren is all about Safari-but also with a more glamorous touch. Like every summer almost-there is always room for Safari inspired outfits, like silk jumpsuits in earth colors or that little beige shorts, and long floaty dresses in the evening ligth.

Streetlife, Camps Bay part One

This story is basically your summer essentials styled in a fun and colorful way. Sequins, stars, hearts and bright colors gives that perfect look for summer cool. For this story I got some of my inspiration from Mathew Williamsons ss2009 looks, with colors, prints & smokey eyes.

Here we are shooting in the streets of beautiful Camps Bay-and the wind is crazy, but I dont think it shows-and as they say down here-the weather and wind is so unpredictable, that you even can get four seasons in one day.

Nylon, Longstreet -Cape Town

In this little special shop in Long st, they had a few vintage and some new clothes made by local designers. The shop it self smelled of strawberry and it was all pink, and covered in tear sheets and collages from NY based teen-magazine Nylon (New York-London).

Taal Monument -Paarl Rock

This fashion story is all about simple clothes in pale colors mixed with darks. Its masculine and casual wear with some interesting cuts or detailing. Silver accessorize with graphic shapes-mixed with coral lips, all fresh and simple but yet glamorous -inspired by Proenza Schouler ss2009 show, but without the Jerry Hall hair.

A fashion spread in British Harpers Bazaar-with shapes and graphic lines, inspired this story.
